Each day prayers and particular prayer intentions of the
school community are said at the beginning and closing
of the school day. Staff and students have the
opportunity to participate in school Masses and prayer
services offered throughout the school year. There are
four Masses throughout the year which include an
Opening Mass, Advent, Easter, and Closing Mass. During
Lent the Blessed Trinity community participates in an
Ash Wednesday Service and Stations of the Cross on
Holy Thursday.
Opportunity is provided for students and staff to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation
during Advent and Lent. Before receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation the Chaplaincy
Leader visits each class to prepare them and to review an examination of conscience.
Each grade nine and grade twelve student participates in a retreat. The grade nine retreats are held in early September and October. The grade twelve retreat is held in the Spring.
Each first period grade nine class participates in a full day retreat held at St. Joseph's
Roman Catholic Church. The retreat includes prayer and reflection time, chapel orientation,
activities focused on getting to know one another, community service hours, and an anti-
bullying campaign presented by students in grades 10, 11, and 12. A lunch is provided for
students for a nominal fee.
The grade 12 retreat is a full day retreat held off site for all graduating students. The focus
of this retreat is to reflect on where one has come from and where God is leading each
person in the future. A luncheon gives the students an opportunity for fellowship and to
share and reflect on memories of the past four years. Often a guest speaker is invited to talk
to the graduating class.
